TWO PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT REPORT

1. Introduction

Hazras Charity Foundation (HCF), in partnership with Muslims Aid Australia (MAA International), continues to serve as a trusted delivery partner in Nigeria, implementing humanitarian and development programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Foundation’s interventions during the reporting period have focused on education, food security, and emergency relief, targeting vulnerable communities, orphans, widows, and internally displaced families.

2. Overview of Implemented Projects

Project 1:

A. Food Pack Distribution for Flood Victims – Mokwa, Niger State (August 2025)

Project Title: Emergency Food Relief Project
Target Beneficiaries: 800 Flood-Affected Households
Implementation Location: Mokwa, Niger State

Objective:

To provide immediate food assistance to families affected by the severe flooding that destroyed homes and livelihoods in Niger State.

Activities Conducted:

Identification and registration of 800 affected households.

Procurement and packaging of essential food items (Rice, Flour, Oil, Sugar, and Protein Sources).

Distribution carried out with full media documentation and support from the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA).

Engagement of local volunteers for logistics and beneficiary verification.

Impact:

800 households (approx. 5,000 individuals) received life-saving food support.

Enhanced trust and collaboration between community leaders and HCF/MAA teams.

Strengthened visibility of donor presence in flood-prone communities.

Project 2:

B. Back-to-School Student Kits Distribution – Kano & Jigawa States (October 2025)

Project Title: Back to School Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Target Beneficiaries: 1,000 Pupils and Students
Implementation Locations:

Kano State : Kumbotso, Gezawa, Gwale, Dambatta, Ungogo, Wudil, Rimin Gado LGAs

Jigawa State : Dutse, Jahun, Birnin Kudu LGAs

Objective:

To promote access to education for underserved children by providing them with essential learning materials and school supplies.

Items Distributed :

1 School Bag

1 Geometry Set

12 Exercise Books (60 pages each)

10 Pens

1 Lunch Box

1 Water Bottle (0.5L)

12 Coloured Pencils

Key Achievements:

Successful delivery of 1,000 educational kits to 10 LGAs.

Smooth coordination with Kano State SUBEB and Jigawa State Ministry of Education.

Positive media coverage and engagement of local authorities.

Zero incident record; logistics and documentation were timely and transparent.

Impact:

Boosted school attendance and motivation among orphans and vulnerable children.

Improved community perception of donor-driven educational initiatives.

Strengthened partnership between MAA International, government institutions, and local NGOs.

3. Operational Excellence

All projects were implemented with full branding and documentation compliance (banners, stickers, photography, and media footage).

Field officers conducted PowerApps beneficiary data collection, ensuring accountability and transparency.

Safety and security of staff were maintained with support from local authorities.

Strong teamwork demonstrated by HCF staff across both states.

4. Financial Accountability

All financial disbursements were executed in alignment with MAA International’s approved budgets and guidelines.

Procurement followed transparent quotation and approval procedures.

HCF receipts issued for administrative and indirect costs.

Supplier receipts documented for all direct procurement.

Financial reports submitted promptly with evidence and photographs.

5. Challenges and Lessons Learned

Challenges :

– Minor delays in banner printing and distribution coordination due to state-level approvals.

– Duplication of beneficiary names in one LGA required a verification team.

– Logistics challenges in flood-affected terrain areas (Mokwa).

Lessons Learned:

Early engagement with local education and emergency management authorities enhances efficiency.

Continuous monitoring and quick response teams improve project flow.

Strengthening field digital tools (Field App) will enhance real-time data updates.

6. Recommendations and Future Plans

Expand educational and feeding programs to Niger, Borno, Yobe, and Zamfara States, targeting conflict-affected and displaced communities.

Integrate nutrition-focused components into future Ramadan and emergency projects.

Enhance coordination with local media houses for broader awareness.

Capacity building for field staff on PowerApps and logistics planning.
