Hazras Charity Foundation Calls for Emergency Support for Victims of Mokwa Flood Disaster

Hazras Charity Foundation deeply mourns the tragic loss of lives, homes, and livelihoods caused by the devastating flood that struck Mokwa Local Government Area in Niger State on 29th May 2025. Torrential rains led to severe flooding that submerged communities, claimed lives, displaced hundreds of families, and destroyed vital infrastructure.

As a humanitarian organization committed to serving the most vulnerable, we are calling on all our local and international donors, partners, and supporters to urgently respond to this emergency. The situation on ground is critical, and there is an immediate need for life-saving intervention.

What We Need to Provide

We urgently seek your support to help us supply the following items to affected families:

🏠 Shelter Kits

• Tents / Tarpaulins
• Floor mats & bedding
• Temporary housing support

🍛 Food Aid Packs

• Rice, beans, maize flour
• Vegetable oil, salt, and condiments
• Nutritional supplements for children

💧 Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Supplies

• Clean drinking water
• Water purification tablets
• Soap, buckets, and sanitary pads

🩺 Health & Medical Support

• Basic first aid supplies
• Mosquito nets
• Emergency medicines

🎒 Clothing and Essential Non-Food Items

• Clothes and footwear (adults & children)
• Cooking utensils

The affected communities are in urgent need of hope and help. Many families are sleeping in open spaces without food or clean water. Children and the elderly are at risk of disease outbreaks and malnutrition. The quicker we act, the more lives we can save and restore dignity to the victims.

Hazras Charity Foundation has already activated local volunteers in Mokwa and is ready to deploy relief materials, but we cannot do this alone. We need your support now.
